Pusser's Gunpowder Proof Spiced British Navy Rum is a spiced Rum from Guyana, bottled at a full 54.5%.

Pusser's is built on the original recipe used by the Royal Navy for its daily rum rations until 1970, when the tradition was stopped. This release is spiced with selected spices on top of the powerful Guyanese rum base and bottled at "gunpowder proof" - the old strength at which the rum could ignite gunpowder if spilled on it, a simple but effective way to test alcohol content before hydrometers became common on board.

The name Pusser's is slang for "purser", the officer responsible for issuing the navy's rum rations - a duty that made the name a fixed part of British naval history.
