Nordic Spirits Lab NSL Gin is a Swedish gin with aquavit botanicals, distilled and bottled in Sweden at 41%.
The gin is crafted from 10 carefully selected botanicals, each individually processed, distilled and blended, including bitter orange peel, juniper berry, angelica root and crown dill.
Other botanicals include pomegranate peel, lemon peel, coriander seeds, caraway seeds, fennel seeds, orange blossom and meadowsweet.
Nordic Spirits Lab is an R&D project within the Altia Group that explores drinking culture and invents new products, and this gin is gently distilled to preserve the fresh taste of the herbs and spices.
Tasting notes
Nose
The nose offers fresh juniper and citrus, spiced by aquavit botanicals with a touch of meadowsweet.
Palate
The palate combines the freshness of juniper and citrus with the spiced character of aquavit, while meadowsweet and violet floral notes add floral depth.
Finish
The finish is spicy and lightly floral, with a lingering freshness.
