Mosgaard Peated Bourbon Batch #1 is an organic Peated Danish Single Malt Whisky bottled at 48.4% from Mosgaard Distillery in Odense. The whisky is the first batch in Mosgaard's Peated Bourbon series – peated malt matured in ex-bourbon casks. It is a combination that creates an interesting contrast: the smoke from the peat meets the sweet vanilla and caramel of the bourbon cask, and the result is a smoky expression with a softer, fruitier edge than typical peated whiskies matured in ex-sherry casks.
