Mosgaard Filippa Crispy Apple Gin is a Funen Organic Gin, bottled at 40%.
The gin is created by steeping freshly harvested Filippa apples, which originate from southern Funen and carry a spiced sweetness with a fresh acidity, in the distilled gin.
Once the apples have steeped, they are distilled separately and added back to the gin, creating a creamy and soft taste of spiced fresh apples.
Botanicals include juniper, aniseed, coriander, cloves, pink pepper, lemongrass, liquorice root, lime, lemon and orange. The distillery is located in Oure on southern Funen, founded by Jes and Gitte Mosgaard in 2015, and the gin has won Silver at both Berlin ISC 2018 and IWSC 2018 and 2019.

Nose
The nose is fresh and fragrant with spiced apples, backed by aniseed and a touch of citrus.
Palate
The palate is creamy and soft, with a distinct character of spiced fresh apples, balanced by juniper and spice.
Finish
The finish is soft and fruity, with lingering notes of apple and spice.
