Mhoba Franky's Pineapple is a Pure Single Rum from South Africa, a blend of Glass Cask rum and two white pot stilled rums infused with grilled and fresh Natal Queen pineapples, bottled at 43%.
The rum comes from Mhoba Rum Distillery in Mpumalanga. Instead of adding artificial pineapple flavour, the distillery separately infuses the rum with both grilled and fresh pineapples of the local Natal Queen variety, giving two distinct layers of fruit character, the sweeter, caramelised grilled note and the sharper, juicy fresh note.

Nose
Sweet pineapple, young wood and grilled fruit, with caramel and a hint of smoke.
Palate
Fruity with grilled pineapple and earthy notes, supported by woody character and a light sweetness that doesn't overpower the rum's own character.
Finish
Long and creamy, with lingering pineapple sweetness.
