A drop of amber autumn in a tiny bottle – nuts, caramel and a hint of warm spice, captured after two decades of quiet ageing.
Expert's Description
Martha's 20 Year Old Tawny Port is an aged Tawny Port in a 5 cl bottle with an alcohol content of 20%.
The wine is blended from several vintages, the youngest component being at least 20 years old, and the whole batch has rested in oak barrels in the family's lodges in Baixo Corgo, where slow oxidation gives the characteristic amber colour and nutty tone.
Behind the bottle stands Martha's Wine & Spirits, a family of grape growers who have farmed in Baixo Corgo since 1727 and are known today for award-winning aged Tawny Ports.
