Some casks are never sold to the general public. This is one of them — a single cask selected specifically for the members of Kolding Whiskylaug af 1999, and a rare chance to taste what a private whisky club chooses when given free rein.
Expert's description
Kilchoman 2007/2017 Kolding Whiskylaug Private Cask is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 10 years old from a single bourbon cask and bottled at 55 %.
The whisky was distilled on 6 June 2007 and bottled on 25 August 2017 from cask number 130, a bourbon cask allowed to mature for a full ten years. Only 246 bottles exist in total from this specific cask, which was selected exclusively for Kolding Whiskylaug af 1999.
As a private cask bottling, it represents the best of Kilchoman's traditional, hands-on approach, combined with the extra depth a full decade of maturation brings. The high alcohol strength of 55 % gives the whisky structure and intensity, while it still remains well balanced.

Investment potential
High. A private cask bottling selected exclusively for a Danish whisky club, with only 246 bottles in total, makes this whisky one of the rarer Kilchoman releases to be found.
Did you know?
Kolding Whiskylaug af 1999 is one of Denmark's older whisky clubs, and private cask bottlings like this one typically only reach a slightly wider audience after the members themselves have received their share.
