Heyl zu Herrnsheim 2006 Riesling Brudersberg Trockenbeerenauslese is a German White Wine from Nierstein, Rheinhessen, made from 100% Riesling with an alcohol content of 9.5%. Trockenbeerenauslese, often abbreviated TBA, is the highest sweetness category within the German Pradikatswein system and requires individually selected, noble-rot-affected berries that have shrivelled almost to raisins on the vine. Brudersberg is a one-hectare monopoly vineyard, owned and farmed exclusively by Weingut Heyl zu Herrnsheim, planted entirely to Riesling. Wines from here are internationally recognised for their unique character, and a TBA from this specific vineyard is a rare occurrence even in good vintages.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Intense and complex on the nose, with honey, dried apricot and a hint of saffron.
