The name is drawn from Dylan's classic 1973 song 'Knockin' on Heaven's Door', and the brand is meant as a tribute to his passion for American whiskey's history and storytelling tradition. The distinctive iron gates featured on the bottles were created by Dylan himself at his own metalworking shop, Black Buffalo Ironworks, and several editions have showcased his paintings on hand-made ceramic bottles.
