Gunroom 12 Botanicals Gin is an English London Dry Gin, bottled at 40%.
The gin is built on twelve botanicals: coriander seeds, juniper berries, orris root, nutmeg, cinnamon, orange peel, lemon zest, angelica root, liquorice, savory and almonds.
The combination of nutmeg, cinnamon and coriander seed gives the gin a distinctly spicy character, while orange peel comes through more prominently on the palate than on the nose.
The gin is typically enjoyed with plenty of ice, where the orange notes come out particularly well.
Tasting notes
Nose
The nose offers citrus fruits, spices, lavender and a subtle floral note, with juniper and orange distinctly noticeable.
Palate
The palate is spicy, with coriander, savory and nutmeg playing a prominent role, and orange more pronounced than on the nose.
Finish
The finish is complex and spicy, and with ice the orange note comes out particularly well.
