The whisky is distilled at The Glenlivet on 15 August 2006 and bottled by the independent bottler Signatory Vintage on 23 November 2022 after 16 years of maturation in a sherry butt (cask no. 900800). It is bottled at natural colour and without chill filtration, preserving the full character of the cask and the whisky's natural structure. Only 626 bottles were drawn from this single cask.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Deep sherry character with dark dried fruit, a touch of leather and a spiced undertone of oak.
Palate
Full and intense with sherry sweetness, dark chocolate and a pronounced peppery heat from the high strength.
Finish
Long and spiced, with the sherry sweetness the last thing to fade.
