The GlenAllachie Sinteis Series Part 2: 2015 Scottish Virgin Oak & Oloroso Sherry Cask Matured

GlenAllachie presents the second release in the Sinteis Series – an innovative whisky collection exploring the fusion of two distinctive cask types: Scottish virgin oak and classic Oloroso sherry casks. The name "Sinteis," meaning "synthesis" in Scottish Gaelic, reflects the distillery’s creative approach to maturation.

This 9-year-old single malt was distilled in 2015 and bottled at cask strength of 58.2% ABV. The whisky is non-chillfiltered and naturally coloured, ensuring an authentic and unaltered tasting experience.

Colour: Burnt mahogany
Nose: Mocha, grilled honey cakes and sun-dried red berries, with notes of cinnamon butter, toasted lemon peel and muscovado sugar
Palate: Heather honey, citrus and warm baking spices, followed by gingerbread and poached fruits, finishing with mocha and vanilla buttercream. Scottish virgin oak and Oloroso sherry casks – a rare combination creating a balanced fusion of depth, spice and sweetness.
