Giffard is a French family-owned liqueur house from Angers in the Loire Valley, founded in 1885 by the pharmacist and herbalist Émile Giffard, who invented a white mint liqueur with digestive properties. Its success led him to convert his pharmacy into a distillery, and today - five generations later - the house is still family-run, producing more than 60 fruit and herbal liqueurs and syrups for bartenders around the world. Triple Sec means "triple dry" and refers to the classic triple-production method, in which orange peel is distilled and macerated to draw out the most concentrated citrus oils, before the liqueur is sweetened to a clean, balanced flavour.
