Giffard's Lychee Syrup is a French syrup made from lychee juice, from the French syrup and liqueur producer Giffard.

Giffard is a French, family-owned liqueur and syrup house from Angers in the Loire Valley, founded in 1885 by the pharmacist and herbalist Émile Giffard, who invented a white mint liqueur with digestive properties. Its success led him to convert his pharmacy into a distillery, and today - five generations later - the house is still family-run, producing more than 60 fruit and herbal liqueurs and syrups for bartenders and baristas around the world. The syrups are made from pure sugar (sucrose), water and natural flavourings without preservatives, with shelf life ensured through pasteurisation. The range is developed to deliver a clean, natural taste without any artificial aftertaste - equally suited to cocktails, mocktails, coffee and desserts.

Taste

The nose is delicate and floral with a hint of rosewater. The palate is juicy and honeyed with the characteristic lychee perfume, rounded off by a light acidity from lemon.
