Giffard's Cherry Syrup is a French syrup flavoured with cherry, from the French syrup and liqueur producer Giffard.

Giffard is a French, family-owned liqueur and syrup house from Angers in the Loire Valley, founded in 1885 by the pharmacist and herbalist Émile Giffard, who invented a white mint liqueur with digestive properties. Its success led him to convert his pharmacy into a distillery, and today - five generations later - the house is still family-run, producing more than 60 fruit and herbal liqueurs and syrups for bartenders and baristas around the world. The syrups are made from pure sugar (sucrose), water and natural flavourings without preservatives, with shelf life ensured through pasteurisation. The range is developed to deliver a clean, natural taste without any artificial aftertaste - equally suited to cocktails, mocktails, coffee and desserts.

Taste

The nose is a typical cherry scent with fruity notes and a light kernel note. The palate is smooth and fragrant with sweet cherries, a confectionery note and a hint of cherry pip on the finish.
