Giffard is a French family-owned liqueur house from Angers in the Loire Valley, founded in 1885 by the pharmacist and herbalist Émile Giffard, who invented a white mint liqueur with digestive properties. Its success led him to convert his pharmacy into a distillery, and today - five generations later - the house is still family-run, producing more than 60 fruit and herbal liqueurs and syrups for bartenders around the world. The Rhubarb liqueur is made from fresh rhubarb stalks, whose natural acidity is preserved through a gentle extraction process, before it's balanced with a moderate sweetness so rhubarb's characteristic freshness stays in front.
