Sun-ripened pineapple from the Caribbean, lifted by seven-year-old Caribbean rum - a liqueur built for the tiki bar.

    Expert's Description

Giffard's Caribbean Pineapple Premium Liqueur is a French Fruit liqueur based on pineapple, bottled at 20% ABV.

Giffard is a French, family-owned liqueur house from Angers in the Loire Valley, founded in 1885 by the pharmacist and herbalist Émile Giffard, who invented a white mint liqueur with digestive properties. Its success led him to convert his pharmacy into a distillery, and today - five generations later - the house is still family-run, producing more than 60 fruit and herbal liqueurs for bartenders and cocktail enthusiasts around the world. The liqueur is part of the Giffard Premium Liqueurs range, ten top-quality liqueurs created to be the leading flavour in a cocktail, where the origin of each main ingredient is carefully selected and guaranteed. The liqueur is a subtle blend of fresh pineapples ripened under the Caribbean sun, reinforced by an infusion of candied pineapple and refined with a seven-year-old Caribbean rum and a touch of spices.

    Taste

The colour is bright, golden yellow. The nose is strong with buttery notes of perfectly ripe pineapple, while the palate offers warm notes of flambéed pineapple with great aromatic complexity - fresh and candied pineapple balanced by a fresh tang, finishing with a whisper of spice and aged rum.
