Expert description
Exquisito 1990 Oliver Ron de Santo Domingo is a Rum from the Dominican Republic, based on a molasses distillate from 1990 blended to an average age over 15 years, bottled at 40%.
The rum is produced by Oliver & Oliver, who blend the old 1990 distillate with younger rum to achieve balance between depth and freshness. The mahogany colour and smoky, woody character reflect the long maturation, while the tropical fruit notes and fresh sugar cane tones remind us that several younger vintages are part of the blend.

Vintage years like 1990 on a rum bottle often refer to the distillation year of the oldest component in a blend rather than the rum's actual age at bottling, a practice common in the solera-based Dominican tradition.
