"Insolent" means cheeky or brazen in Spanish. A fitting name for a rum that breaks with Dictador's usual restraint.
Expert description
Dictador XO Insolent Solera is a Rum from Colombia, matured using the solera method in oak casks and bottled at 40%.
The rum belongs to Dictador's XO series, the house's most expressive editions, where the solera system blends rum from multiple casks and vintages to achieve a light, accessible yet complex character. Behind the rum stands Destilería Colombiana in Cartagena, founded in 1913, and "Insolent" marks a deliberately fresher, more direct style than the house's other, heavier editions.
