Daniel Bouju No 5 Caraffe is a French Cognac from Grande Champagne, aged in new Limousin oak casks and bottled at 40%.
The cognac comes from the small family house Daniel Bouju, based right in Saint-Preuil - an area the house itself calls the absolute heart of the Cognac region. No 5 is one of the house's younger, fresher expressions, bottled straight into a sleek decanter.
The young age gives the cognac a lively, almost grape-sweet character, while ageing in new Limousin casks adds a fine touch of wood and vanilla without losing its freshness.
