Dalva 10 Year Old Tawny is a Portuguese Aged Tawny Port with an average age of 10 years, bottled at 20%.

The age statement on the label - here 10 years - reflects the average age of the many different casks that make up the final blend, a method regulated and approved by Portugal's wine authority, the IVDP, which continuously tastes its way to the right composition.

The wine is primarily based on the grape varieties Tinta Cão and Touriga Nacional, aged in oak, where gradual oxidation gives it its golden colour with red hues and a flavour balanced between fresh fruit and matured spice.

Dalva is the Port brand of the house C. da Silva, founded in Vila Nova de Gaia in 1933, and the 10-year expression is the house's entry point into the age-designated Tawny Ports that continue through 20, 30 and 40 years.
