Three ingredients, one goal: capturing the taste of a fresh, young coconut on Martinique. Mahina Coco deliberately keeps it simple, where many other coconut liqueurs reach for artificial flavourings.
Expert Description
Clément Mahina Coco is a Martinique Coconut Rum Liqueur made from young coconuts, rum and cane syrup, bottled at 18%.
The liqueur from Habitation Clément is built on just three ingredients: fresh, unripe coconut, the house's own rhum agricole and natural cane syrup. This minimalist approach stands in contrast to many international coconut liqueurs, which often use added flavourings to achieve a strong coconut taste. The name Mahina is Polynesian for "moon", a reference to the round, white coconut and to Martinique's tropical, island-inspired mood.
The result is a round, natural coconut liqueur where the agricole-based rum can still be traced as a light, herbal undertone.
