After his father passed away, Jose "Pepe" Hermosillo decided to carry seven generations of tequila craft forward in his own way. Casa Noble Blanco Crystal is one of the clearest examples of that decision: a blanco that is allowed to rest briefly in barrels before being filtered crystal clear again.
Expert Description
Casa Noble Blanco Crystal is a Mexican Blanco Tequila made from 100% agave, bottled at 40%.
Casa Noble was founded in 1993 by Jose "Pepe" Hermosillo, whose family has been distilling tequila for seven generations. The agave is grown on the estate's own high-altitude land in western Jalisco, in volcanic soil, and is certified organic. Casa Noble was one of the first tequila houses to triple distil in pursuit of a cleaner spirit. For the Crystal expression, the tequila rests briefly in French oak barrels before being charcoal filtered, so it appears crystal clear again while retaining a touch of the barrel's softness.
