Kenneth Autzen started Nobilis with private bottlings for the Danish Caroni Fan Club. Today Batch 23 is one of the releases showing why the small Danish bottler has earned international attention.
Expert Description
Barbados FS 2006 Single Cask 16 Year Nobilis Batch 23 is a Barbados Rum from a single cask, distilled in 2006, aged 16 years and bottled at cask strength 65.4%.
The rum is bottled by Nobilis, a Danish independent bottler founded by Kenneth Autzen, known for its unapologetically powerful single cask releases at cask strength. The FS designation refers to Foursquare Distillery in Barbados, where the rum is distilled. Batch 23 was selected and bottled from a single cask with no additives or filtration, giving a pure expression of both the distillate and its 16 years of ageing.
The result is a powerful, concentrated rum, where tropical fruit meets spice and the cask's strength.
