Bacardi Carta Oro is a Rum from Puerto Rico, blended from 14 different rums matured 1-2 years and bottled at 40%.

The rum is called "Oro" after the Spanish word for gold and was first produced in 1862. In the 1960s, Bacardi moved the bulk of its production to Puerto Rico, where Carta Oro today is blended from fourteen different rums to achieve a more pronounced flavour profile than the house's light Carta Blanca. It functions as a natural step up from the white classic, with more body without becoming a heavy, dark rum.

Nose

Nuts and butter, with restrained butterscotch, toffee and muscovado sugar plus light oak.

Palate

Rich and toasted, with charcoal, vanilla, toffee, fudge, dry walnut and citrus fruit.

Finish

Dry and lightly sweet.
