Arran 2012/2025 Single Cask Denmark 12 Year Old is a Single Islands Malt Scotch Whisky matured in a 1st fill sherry hogshead and bottled at 57.9%.

Distilled in September 2012, the whisky spent twelve years in a single 1st fill sherry cask before being drawn straight from the wood, non-chill filtered and with natural colour. Only 288 bottles exist, all reserved for Denmark. Unlike several of the distillery's other single cask releases, this one carries no peat at all, leaving the sherry cask's nuance and Arran's own fruit character all the room they need.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Dried fig, date and raisin meet a fresh note of orange peel and a touch of nutmeg.

Palate

Dry yet full-bodied — dark chocolate and toasted nuts dance alongside ripe fruit, while the sherry's spiced warmth gives structure without weighing it down.

Finish

Long and lingering with coffee, cocoa and a mild spiced warmth that fades slowly.
