The second release in the Double Cask series followed the same recipe as the first, but with its own pair of casks and its own story: 6-7 years of maturation under the tropical sun.
Expert's description
Amrut Double Cask 2016 Release India Single Malt Whisky is a Peated Indian Single Malt Whisky matured in ex-bourbon cask #3452 and PX sherry cask #3803 for 6-7 years, bottled at 46%.
The peated Scottish barley was distilled in June 2009 (bourbon) and May 2010 (PX sherry) and bottled in June 2016 in just 1,050 bottles worldwide. The two cask types give a whisky where vanilla and coconut from the bourbon cask meet rich fruitiness from the sherry cask.
