2019 was a classic, warm vintage in the southern Rhône, and an extra year in bottle has given this Grand Veneur a maturity the 2020 vintage hasn't yet reached.
Expert's Description
Alain Jaume Grand Veneur Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2019 is a Red Wine from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, France made from a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre, bottled at 15% ABV.
Grand Veneur is the estate's classic Châteauneuf-du-Pape cuvée, where old Grenache vines are complemented by Syrah and Mourvèdre for structure and spice. The 2019 vintage is generally considered warm and generous in the southern Rhône, and with a few more years behind it, the wine now shows an emerging maturity with rounded tannins.
