Named in honour of Paul Octave, the farmer whose sugar cane field is used for this cuvée, La Perle Brute is distilled on the "La Belle Aline" column and bottled with no reduction at all, at a massive 66%.

    Expert Description

A1710 La Perle Brute 2021 Rhum Blanc Extraordinaire is a Martinique Rhum Agricole, distilled from pure sugar cane juice from a selected field parcel and bottled unaged with no reduction at 66%.

The rum is distilled on the copper still "La Belle Aline" with seven plates, with no reduction of the final strength, giving both a raw and refined experience. The cuvée honours Paul Octave, the farmer behind the specific sugar cane parcel used for this release, reflecting A1710's wish to highlight its close collaboration with Martinique's cane growers. The long fermentation process of 5 days significantly increases the distillate's aromatic richness.

The result is an intense, powerful white rhum, where the high strength reveals layers of spiced fruitiness beneath the fresh cane character.
