The liqueur is made by bottling cold-brewed coffee from Nicaragua together with seven-year-old Dominican rum in small batches. Since the combination of coffee and rum naturally lacks sweetness, a light touch of pure cane sugar is added to balance the flavour, without drowning out the coffee's and rum's own aromas.
