Westland American Oak Single Malt Whiskey is the distillery's core expression, matured exclusively in new American oak, bottled at 46%. Westland Distillery was founded in 2010 by Matt Hofmann and Emerson Lamb in Seattle's SoDo neighbourhood with the ambition of creating an American single malt that could stand alongside the world's best whiskies. The distillery was acquired by Rémy Cointreau in 2017 and uses exclusively malted barley fermented with a Belgian Saison yeast, after which the whiskey is matured in a mix of new American oak, ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.
