As the Mediterranean sun bakes over Valencia's vineyards, the Macabeo grapes that form the backbone of the Valsangiacomo family's white vermouth are harvested.
Vittore White is the pale, herbal sibling of the classic red version.

    Expert's Description

Vittore White is a Spanish vermouth with an ABV of 15%, based on white wine made from the Macabeo grape from the Valencia region.

The vermouth is produced by Cherubino Valsangiacomo following the same original 1904 recipe as Vittore Red, but without added caramel, giving it a clear, straw-yellow colour. The base wine is infused with 24 Mediterranean and Alpine botanicals, including gentian, wormwood, coriander, sage, oregano and chamomile.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

The nose is herbal and balsamic with oregano, fennel and thyme, alongside a touch of liquorice and citrus.

    Palate

    Finish

The finish is long and pleasantly bitter with a clean herbal character.
