VI ER AKVAVIT Green Midsummer is a Danish small batch akvavit at 42.8% ABV from the akvavit brand VI.ER, spiced with green dill, juniper berries and spruce shoots.
Where the brand's other bottles start from caraway, Green Midsummer is built around dill, harvested in Denmark during the short window it is at its freshest. The dill is paired with juniper berries and spruce shoots, which give a green, woodland counterpoint to the dill's herbaceous character.
The akvavit is distilled in small batches at the micro-distillery Nordisk Brænderi in northwest Jutland, where every batch is kept limited to preserve the intensity of the freshly picked ingredients.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Intense green dill aroma, closely followed by resinous notes of juniper and spruce shoots.
Palate
