Thornæs The 5 Pedros Fad 066 is an organic Danish Single Malt Whisky bottled at 50% from Thornæs Distillery in North Zealand. The whisky is part of The 5 Pedros series – five individual Pedro Ximenez sherry casks bottled separately, so the flavour differences from cask to cask stand clearly. Fad 066 is the individual cask with its unique imprint of PX sherry's characteristic sweetness: raisins, dark chocolate and dried fruit. It is bottled without dilution at 50% and comes from Thornæs Distillery's focus on transparency and single cask expressions.

Tasting notes

Nose

PX sherry with raisins, dark chocolate and dried fruit. The organic grain base lifts the heavy PX sweetness slightly and gives freshness.

Palate

Full-bodied PX sweetness at 50% with figs, dark plums and a warm spiciness from the oak and PX cask. The single cask character gives a unique individuality that sets it apart from batched whiskies.

Finish

Long and rich with dried fruits and a dark, chocolatey close.
