The Gauldrons Sherry Cask is part of the new series from Douglas Laing, this is batch 2 which has been given a higher alcohol percentage, giving an extra kick to the whisky - they take the best whisky from distilleries in the area Campbeltown and blend it together to create a Blended Malt Scotch Whisky. The whisky has been aged in Spanish sherry casks, which has contributed to a delicious spicy sherry flavor balanced by smoky, salty and sweet characters.
