Three ages from the same island meet in this bottle, where 5, 8 and 12 year old Barbados rums from column stills let the younger and older distillates play off one another.

    Expert Description

The Duppy Share XO Caribbean Rom is a Barbados Rum, a blend of 5, 8 and 12 year old rum distilled on 100% column stills, bottled at 40%.

The Duppy Share, named after Caribbean folklore about spirits that steal a portion of the rum during ageing, is known for focusing on approachable, well-crafted blends from Barbados. The XO release combines three different ages, where the younger components add freshness and the older ones contribute depth, a balance that creates a rum where rich and lighter, more chocolatey-sour tones react against one another.

The result is a round, inviting rum with a distinct layer of complexity beneath its immediate sweetness.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Velvety caramel and tamarind, spiced with toasted coconut and violet floral notes.

    Palate

Sweet with butter fudge, caramel and condensed milk, accompanied by apricot, vanilla and nutmeg.

    Finish

Softly concluding with a hint of chocolatey sourness that balances the immediate sweetness.
