Two hogsheads, one purpose: to give a young Teaninich room to show its clean, cereal-driven side at natural strength.

    Expert description

Teaninich 2007/2018 is a 10-year-old Single Highland Malt Whisky, distilled on 22 November 2007 and bottled on 5 March 2018 by Signatory Vintage at 46% ABV.

The whisky comes from two hogsheads, no. 702715 and 702716, vatted together to produce a slightly larger and more approachable release than a pure single cask bottling would allow. It is neither chill-filtered nor coloured, and its 10 years in cask have left a spirit that still clearly carries Teaninich's young, cereal-focused character.

At 46%, the strength sits above the common standard of 40%, giving the whisky extra sharpness and clarity in the flavour picture.

    Tasting notes

    Finish

Short to medium, dry and refreshing, with a lightly spiced close.

Frequently asked questions about Teaninich 2007/2018

Why is the whisky bottled from two casks?

Hogshead no. 702715 and 702716 were vatted together by Signatory Vintage to create a slightly larger release with a rounded, unified flavour profile.

    Is the whisky chill-filtered?

No, it is neither chill-filtered nor coloured, preserving the natural expression from the casks.

Why is the strength 46% rather than 40%?

Signatory Vintage often bottles its whiskies at a slightly higher strength than the standard to preserve more of the original flavour picture.

    How old is the whisky?
