Spices from the forests of Visayas and Mindanao meet seven-year cask-aged rum from Panay region sugar cane in this spiced Philippine take on Tanduay's classic style.
Expert Description
Tanduay Especia is a Philippine Rum-based Spirit Drink aged up to 7 years in American oak and infused with cinnamon, vanilla, cloves and orange, bottled at 40%.
The rum is produced by Tanduay Distillers from Grade A molasses made from sugar cane grown in the Panay region of the Philippines. After up to seven years of ageing in American oak, a spice blend of cinnamon, vanilla, cloves and a hint of sweet orange is added, with the spices sourced from the forests of the islands of Visayas and Mindanao. Especia won a silver medal at the USA Spirits Ratings for its balanced spice profile.
The result is a sweet, spiced rum, where cinnamon and vanilla meet tropical fruit and honey.
