The rum comes from the Pomalca distillery in Chiclayo in northern Peru, founded in 1933 with an imported Scottish distillation column. After distillation, the rum matures for 8 years in old ex-bourbon casks, giving it ample time to develop a rich, deep and sweet character. The rum is bottled by Italian independent bottler Rum Nation as part of their Peru range.

Buttery and very sweet, almost like milk chocolate, with a deep aroma of molasses, cola and bitter orange notes.
