Riedel Veritas White Wine Tasting Set is a tasting set of three different machine-blown white wine glasses from the Austrian glassmaking house Riedel, made from crystal glass and put together to show the range between light, aromatic whites and full-bodied, oak-aged styles. The set belongs to Veritas, Riedel's newest and thinnest machine-blown collection.
The set consists of one Riesling/Zinfandel glass (235 mm tall, 395 ml), one Viognier/Chardonnay glass (225 mm tall, 370 ml) and one Oaked Chardonnay glass (217 mm tall, 620 ml) - three different bowl sizes, each tailored to a particular white wine style.
Design & Material
The most spacious glass in the set is made for full-bodied, oak-aged Chardonnay, while the two slimmer glasses are shaped to hold on to the chill and aromas of more aromatic, lighter whites such as Riesling and Viognier. All three glasses are blown from the thin crystal that defines the Veritas range.
Use & Recommendation
The set is ideal if you want to compare different white wine styles in one evening - from a dry, mineral Riesling to a full-bodied, oak-aged Chardonnay. All three glasses are dishwasher safe, though a gentle cycle with mild detergent is kindest to the crystal.
