Riedel Veritas Viognier / Chardonnay is a set of two machine-blown white wine glasses from the Austrian glassmaking house Riedel, made from crystal glass and shaped for aromatic white wines such as Viognier and unoaked Chardonnay. Veritas is Riedel's newest and thinnest machine-blown collection, developed to approach the precision otherwise found only in hand-blown crystal.

Design & Material

The bowl is narrower and a little shorter than the red wine glasses in the range, which holds the chill longer and channels the floral and citrus aromas straight to your nose. The fine rim directs the wine to the front of the tongue first, where the fruit is most pronounced.

Use & Recommendation

The glass suits aromatic, medium-bodied whites such as Viognier and unoaked Chardonnay best, but works equally well for other light to medium-bodied white wines. It's dishwasher safe, though a gentle cycle with mild detergent is kindest to the crystal's shine.
