Old Virginia is distilled in Kentucky and distributed internationally by the French spirits group La Martiniquaise, with a name referring to Kentucky's historical origins as part of the state of Virginia, until the territory became its own state in 1792. The bourbon is made from at least 51% corn and matured in new charred oak casks in accordance with US regulations for Straight Bourbon.
