    Octomore 16.3 Edition from Bruichladdich is an extremely peated Islay single malt whisky with an impressive peat level of 189.5 ppm and an alcohol strength of 61.6%. It is distilled from Concerto barley grown at Octomore Farm in Church Field on Islay, making it a terroir-driven edition with a distinct local character. The whisky is matured for five years in a combination of bourbon, Sauternes, and Pedro Ximénez casks, adding sweetness, complexity, and depth to the intense smoke profile.

    On the nose, there are notes of honeyed malt, toasted grain, and earthy peat, balanced by floral tones, dried apricots, and a salty sea breeze. The palate is structured and intense with sweet malt, smoked oak, and waves of maritime freshness. Notes of fruitcake, toffee, and candied citrus peel unfold against a backdrop of dark chocolate and deep peat smoke. The finish is monumental and persistent with mineral salinity, floral smoke, and vinous sweetness from the saturated casks.
