A box of hand-crafted truffles - just in liquid form. That's how Moersleutel itself describes this dessert stout, built around a carefully selected trio of cocoas.
Expert description of Moersleutel Coconut Chocolate Truffles Pastry Stout
Moersleutel Coconut Chocolate Truffles Pastry Stout is crafted as a box of hand-made truffles in liquid form. Here, creamy coconut, deep chocolate and roasted malt from the Dutch brewery Moersleutel Craft Brewery in Alkmaar meet in a dessert stout that is luxurious, layered and irresistibly full.
The aroma opens with sweet coconut and dark cocoa, followed by warm coffee tones and a hint of vanilla. The mouthfeel is thick and silky, almost like a custard-like raw stout that envelops the palate with intense chocolate fullness.
The flavour profile is built as a true truffle experience: raw coconut flakes are combined with a hand-selected cocoa trio - Bolivia for nostalgic warm chocolate, Tanzania for caramelised fruitiness and Ghana for nutty coffee and bitter wood. Mexican vanilla rounds off the whole, while Moersleutel's Italian dark roast coffee provides depth and balance.
