A sweet, complex, and intense mead crafted for royal enjoyment. Gorm the Old was a ruler with a taste for power – and for life’s sweet pleasures. This mead is therefore brewed with an abundance of fine ingredients and a depth of flavour worthy of his name.

Gorm’s mead offers a full-bodied, honey-sweet profile with deep, oaky notes reminiscent of bold red wines. Despite its intensity, it maintains a refined acidity and light bitterness that balance the sweetness and allow subtle nuances to shine through. Apples add a touch of freshness, while angelica brings a spicy, herbal aftertaste that lingers on the palate. The oak rounds it all off with warmth and depth.

This mead pairs beautifully with strong, aged cheeses or rich, indulgent desserts – especially those featuring caramel, honey, or nuts. Surprisingly, it also complements red meats well, with its oaky character and soft tannins delivering a rare, wine-like experience.
