It is part of Macallan's Harmony Collection, which explores the interplay between whisky and natural ingredients. Intense Arabica is inspired by the intense espresso experience and uses coffee casks as an additional layer of flavour complexity — the seasoned coffee casks contribute dark coffee and chocolate notes without overwhelming the whisky.

The bottle is packaged in material made from recycled coffee grounds from Arabica production — a design that is sustainable from core to capsule.
