Luxardo was founded in 1821 in Zara on the Dalmatian coast and moved after the Second World War to Torreglia near Padua in 1947, where the distillery is still located today. Sambuca dei Cesari is made from selected ingredients, where Sicilian aniseed and elderberry unite with pure grain alcohol and mature gently in wooden vats, giving a well-balanced, smooth liqueur.
