High West Tasting Kit Whiskey gathers four 10 cl miniature bottles from the distillery's range, letting you taste through the house's different styles, from rye whiskey to blended expressions, each bottled at 46%. High West Distillery was founded in 2006 by former biochemist David Perkins and his wife Jane, who moved to Park City, Utah, in 2004 to start the distillery. When the distillery opened in 2007, it was the first legal distillery in the state since Prohibition ended in 1870 — Utah had gone over 130 years without a legal distillery. The distillery started in a historic livery stable with a small 250-gallon still and expanded in 2015 with a larger facility in Wanship outside Park City. High West is known for blending and finishing whiskey from multiple sources into unique, complex expressions.
