Hendrick's Lunar Gin is a Scottish gin from the Cabinet of Curiosities series, bottled at 43.4%.
The gin builds on Hendrick's signature cucumber and rose, adding night-scented flowers such as honeysuckle, violet and jasmine alongside spices like black peppercorns, cardamom and cinnamon.
Like all Hendrick's releases, Lunar is distilled using the dual method, blending distillate from a Bennett pot still with distillate from a Carter Head still.
Lunar is part of Cabinet of Curiosities, Lesley Gracie's ongoing series of limited releases exploring the boundaries of the original Hendrick's recipe.
Tasting notes
Nose
The nose is intensely floral with night-scented flowers, citrus and juniper.
Palate
The palate is floral and spiced with cardamom, pepper and cinnamon alongside the familiar rose and cucumber.
Finish
The finish is floral with a delicate spiced ending.
