Harahorn Gin is a Norwegian gin from Det Norske Brenneri, bottled at 46%.

The gin is distilled in small batches of 300 litres from nearly two dozen botanicals, with signature Norwegian ingredients hand-foraged from the mountains and coastline.

Among the wild ingredients are blueberries from Nordmarka, rhubarb and bladderwrack, giving the gin its characteristic Norwegian imprint.

Det Norske Brenneri, formerly known as Puntervold, is located in Grimstad in southern Norway, where both production and cask ageing take place.

Tasting notes

Nose

The nose is bright and earthy with juniper, lemon, rhubarb and anise.

Palate

The palate is bold and complex with big juniper, blueberry, nectarine, lemon zest and tart rhubarb with hints of blackberry jam.

Finish

The finish is warm, dry and long with lingering juniper, blueberry and a faint marine note.
